About

Eve Ullom is a Finnish artist living and working in Helsinki. Eve has graduated from Art School Maa and holds a Master’s degree in social and cultural anthropology from the University of Helsinki. She uses her background in social sciences as a foundation to examine life, humanity and cultures around her. Her artistic media are mainly acrylic and watercolour painting, drawing and photography. The themes close to her heart are construction and reconstruction of identities, and how bodies experience and negotiate space. She also explores the way discursive practices create “truths” and “realities”, and how they relate to individual perception. She has also recently developed a growing interest in meditative practices, turning inwards and trying to make visible the invisible and personal.
